Department of Kannada exists since the establishment of the college. The faculty of Kannada department includes two Assistant Professors Apart from teaching, the faculty also involves in examination and evaluation task of Mysore University. The faculties actively participate in the cultural and magazine activities of the college too. The faculty teaches Kannada literature to both B.A and B.Com students.
The students of Kannada department are evaluated through tests, viva, seminars, debates, giving assignments conducting essay competitions
