The department of English exists since the beginning of the College. This is a major department in the college as it is compulsory to have English for both students of B.A and B.Com.
The English department has one Assistant Professor Dr.Nagesh S Dooganavar who has vast experience in teaching in English so as to help students excel in studies and guide them for further progress. The Dept also conducts tests, assignments and also arranged seminars. Beside teaching prose, poetry and grammar the department also conducts spoken English classes , so that the students develop good English communication which is a must in today’s Job market. If students require any extra coaching or support the department is always available.
